of the NGO Forum

Who’s involved in the Forum?

The Forum includes government officials, health professionals and experts working in the field of public health – with its membership mirroring its core role of ‘engagement’ across sectors.

It is currently co-chaired by Dr Fiona Adshead, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Department of Health and Ian Grey of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.

The Forum’s work is managed by the Royal Society of Health on behalf of the Department of Health (DH), together with a small national steering group made up of its members.

Membership is now open to all national NGOs and has been steadily increasing from the original 30 members to the current membership of nearly 90 organisations in November 2006.
