The NGO Forum has developed a resource to help voluntary and community sector organisations address health inequalities. The resource ‘A planning guide: health inequalities and the voluntary and community sector’has been produced to encourage voluntary groups and their partners to place tackling health inequalities at the top of their agenda. The guide has been developed by working with some innovative projects within the sector, learning from their experience to help others.

This guide is based on a systematic and comprehensive framework for assembling information on interventions and is based on the best available practices of real life experience in the sector.

It synthesis what is known about what works. It includes ways to help establish links with other organisations and to co-ordinate group activities. A consultation process with key stakeholders was used to compile this guide.
