The Forum — bringing government and public health experts together

The Forum was established to help improve public health and reduce health inequalities across the UK.

It does this by bringing together public health experts from non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and government policy makers.

Those working in the field can use their expertise to influence and contribute to government public health policy.

The NGO Forum is trying to find out what is currently being done by the sector to address the problems of overweight and obesity. Please fill in our questionnaire (includes a chance to win Amazon vouchers).

National Conference 2008

The NGO Forum held its National Conference on 30th January with the participation of 130 delegates from public health organisations across the UK. Presentations and reports now available online.

Giving NGOs a voice

By holding meetings, seminars and workshops the Forum gives national charities, voluntary bodies and NGOs the opportunity to meet policy makers and to help the government formulate public health policy.
